Classic Albums Live: Abbey Road
A Front & Centre Presentation
Saturday, May 10 at 8 p.m.
One of the true masterpieces of rock n' roll, the Beatles' Abbey Road is often considered their best work. Including songs such as "Come Together" and "I Want You (She' So Heavy)," as well as the brilliant second side including "Golden Slumbers"/"Carry That Weight"/"The End", the album will be recreated note for note in it's entirety by the skilled Classic Albums Live ensemble. Additional classic Beatles songs will be performed after completion of the album. Beatles fans should not miss this presentation!
About Classic Albums Live
For the past four years, Classic Albums Live have been thrilling audiences with exemplary note for note re-creations of rock 'n roll's greatest records. Not a tribute band, no wigs or costumes, no taped sound effects; Classic Albums Live produces “the soundtracks of our lives” to pure concert standard. You have to hear and see it to believe it!
The concept behind Classic Albums Live is simple. Classic albums are faithfully recreated live on stage note for note, cut
for cut by a group of highly accomplished musicians, assembled specifically for each album presentation. It is not a tribute
act however. The performers do not dress up or act the part of the featured artists. It is like a recital, just as a symphony would perform the works of Mozart. The result is amazing, with absolutely every detail of the album recording performed live.
Classic Albums Live is an innovative, unprecedented concert attraction. With its popularity the series has expanded to include regular engagements in such major markets as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Connecticut as well as others. Garnering acclaim from fans and critics alike, Classic Albums Live has received much coverage from Canadian media including CBC Venture, Maclean's Magazine, and the National Post. Albums performed include Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Led Zeppelin IV, Born To Run, Hotel California, and many more. Musicians from major Canadian touring acts such as Nelly Furtado, Moist, Tom Cochrane, Jesse Cooke, Honeymoon Suite, David Usher, Headstones have all taken part in the performances.
