As a fan of the band for 30+ years, and having seen them a few times, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I was not disappointed. They were fabulous. I only wish it had gone on a little longer. Bring them back again.
So glad you brought TOP back. A great venue for them. Keep it up and get TOP back as soon as possible. 4 years ago I went alone; this time I brought 6 friends; next time I'll bring even more. They all loved it!!!! Thanks so much.
The band's performance was indeed outstanding. However, the amplification was too loud. Some of the instruments like the bass for example, were not coming out clearly. More of a rumble type of sound. Is there a French version for the survey?
Who was operating the follow spot? When LB asked for light on Doc and other members, the light stayed on LB. Several times the lead soloist was in the dark while LB was lounging on the sidelines with the spotlight on him.
J'ai également assisté au concert de TOP en 2004. Merveilleux. Je suis enseignant en musique au collègial et la prochaine fois j'organise un groupe d'étudiants pour pour aller voir TOP. Quelques suggestions pour de futurs artistes dans votre salle: Fred Hammond - Kirk Franklin - Mary Mary - Tye Tribett - Brent Jones(Tous du contemporary Gospel) Beaucoup de gens de Montréal pourais se déplacer pour voir un tel évènement, et on viendrait aussi de partout pour entendre comme pour TOP. Félicitation pour nous donner la chance de voir TOP et de prendre des risques avec de la musique qui reste quand même marginale! Me and my wife appriciate your theatre, everytime we stay for 1 night in Ottawa and we love it. Next time, my students gonna follow us to see your concert!! THX a lot!!
Any time you bring Tower of Power to Centrepointe, I'll buy tickets.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show from start to finish and hope that the artistic director will actively pursue having Tower of Power return in the future.

To have a group like Tower of Power, the audience should be able to move around in a larger area, but we made due last night. Great entertainment. I hope they come back!

Could not see the drummer. He should have been on a riser. Bass was too loud. This muddied and distorted the overall sound. Sound was better the last time they were at Centrepointe (2004?) Thanks for having them just the same. Great band.
In the last 4 nites I have attended three shows. Classic Albums live...Pink Floyd, Arlo Guthrie & Tower of Power...each of which was a totally different genre of music but each excellent in it's presentation. The Theatre itself has a good to great sound quality...Last night was the first time I experienced people standing & dancing throughout most of the show...which is special... Shows always could last a lot longer but I can appreciate that is the performers choice as well...Sometimes nice to have a break in between the show but it can lose it's flow as I spoke to the lead singer about last nite. They prefer to play thru.....So overall...as per above an outstanding three nites that I shared with your staff who are all so nice.
Please, more acts like Tower of Power. I think there are lots of musical acts out there who would want to play a theatre of the size of Centrepointe.

The band was outstanding and the venue a good one given its intimacy.
Great show by a group of professionals. We attend about one show a year, but it's always been a nice venue and not as highbrow as that place on the Canal. Lobby is a bit tight with a full house, but all in all the best bargain in the city. The NAC could learn a thing or two.
I was really disappointed that there were no CD's or drumming books available!! This was the 5th time that I have seen them and have purchased disc's every time! Can you please make the arrangements to make these available for purchase please!
Bring back Tower of Power! Actually, it would be nice if you could send them to Montreal too so I don't have to travel far.
It was one of the most enjoyable concerts I have ever attended. It was very nostalgic for me as it brought back many memories of the first time I saw them in the early seventies, in Norfolk Virginia. It was great seeing them in such an intimate setting instead of a huge stadium. The band was tight. The sound was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactive aspect of the performance. I must comment on the quality of the audience. As I looked around me, I saw a wide diversity of young and old, all caught up in the timeless phenomenon that is Tower of Power. It was great to see many of our old musician friends, some we hadn't seen for years. But the very best part for me was the realization that even though our hair might be grey and our joints a little stiff, music can transcend all of that and we can still boogie!
Overall volume was a little loud. Maybe a reduction of 5-10 dbSPL. EQ could of a used a small cut in the mid freq. Bass was a little boomy on kick. Not enough definition on electric bass.
I hope that we can get TOP back in the near future.

Excellent performance by Tower of Power. When I heard that TOP was coming to Centrepointe Theatre I was very suprised. I've been a fan of theirs since 1974. Missed them the first time they came to Ottawa. I thought the sound could have been better. However it was just great to see and here this great band. I wish you could have more of the same.
Absolutely the best show I've seen at Centrepointe Theatre! Hats off to the theatre for bringing them to Ottawa. It's not very often that you get to experience such a great band in such an intimate and comfortable venue. We'd love to see more shows like that.

I could have listened to Tower of Power for hours! When they finished, it felt like they'd been playing for only a few minutes. Outstanding show! Please bring them back.
Sound quality was not quite balanced for our location in the theatre.
Thank you for bringing TOP to Ottawa and a second time at that. What a fabulous venue to see them in. Just wish the spacing between the seats was a little wider so we could have really let go and danced... Also maybe in future a limited run of extra show posters could be made available for Front and Centre ticket holders. My kids met band members last night and the poster would have been another item for them to have signed and added to the memorabilia collection. Thx again for having TOP play Centrepointe.
Should have had an intermission
I had never heard of this group but the write up sounded like fun. When I arrived at the theatre - the atmosphere was almost electric with anticipation so I knew that my friend and I were about the only people there who really did not know exactly what we were about to see. What a wonderful show! I think that is one of the best shows I have seen in Ottawa, however I feel that way anytime I have really enjoyed myself. We had a great time!!! Thank you.
