Rentals and Tech
Centrepointe Theatre is owned by the City of Ottawa and operated by the Cultural Services and Community Funding Branch of Community and Protective Services. Its seating capacity of 966, excellent amenities, helpful staff and affordable rental rates make the theatre an ideal venue for live performances and large assemblies. The administration of Centrepointe Theatre manages three types of space rentals within Ben Franklin Place:
- Centrepointe Theatre: A proscenium stage with 966-seat auditorium.
- Ben Franklin Place Meeting Rooms: A variety of rooms are available including the Chamber, a 246-seat auditorium with theatre-style seating.

Centrepointe Theatre
Centrepointe Theatre is a fully-serviced performance venue owned and operated by the City of Ottawa.
Its amenities include 966 comfortable seats, excellent sightlines and acoustics, coat check, licensed bar
and a computerized box office. Helpful staff, affordable rental rates, state-of-the art theatre technology
and a large proscenium stage make the theatre ideal for all types of performances,large presentations and ceremonies.

Ben Franklin Place
Ben Franklin Place is located at 101 Centrepointe Drive in Ottawa's west end. It is a popular setting for special events, meetings, conferences and small performances with rental fees and capacities to suit various needs.
Three meeting rooms are available within Ben Franklin Place. Room capacities vary from 12 to 50 persons depending on seating configurations.
The Atrium is a popular location for special events. The space features abundant natural lighting during the day and can accommodate up to 500 guests. It is often rented in conjunction with The Chamber at Ben Franklin Place, or with Centrepointe Theatre, for use in pre- or post-event gatherings. Other uses include media announcements, product launches and other types of receptions. Caterers can operate in this area and tables or seating can be arranged within the space. (Please note: full-service ‘sit-down’ dinners are not supportable in Ben Franklin Place).
The Chamber in Ben Franklin Place is a popular space for large meetings, presentations and smaller-scale performances. The Chamber contains 246 fixed raked seats in a fan shaped auditorium, and offers versatility in its 1160 ft² performance area. It is equipped with basic technical amenities, including a LCD projection system, DVD player and projection screen. (Please note that audio/visual technicians are not available.)
Well suited to intimate theatrical productions, The Chamber in Ben Franklin Place is now home to several community performing arts groups including GOYA Productions, Suzart Productions and Phoenix Players.
